No, I don't think an envelope follower is what I want (although thank you for teaching me a new trick!). I don't want to convert the VOLUME to a control voltage, I want to convert the FREQUENCY to a control voltage. The goal is to use the original audio stream to drive the freq input of a VCO. Any idea how to achieve this effect? On a related topic: I was looking at some LADSPA plugins that produce a control _output_, and realized that AMS has no way to express that concept. Is there any plan, or a mechanism I just don't understand yet, for the control (not audio) output of a LADSPA plugin to be connected to the input of a successive LADSPA plugin? ---scott On Monday 03 February 2003 05:03 am, you wrote: > On Sun, 2 Feb 2003, scott thomason wrote: > > The problem is, I just can't figure out how to get the > > frequency pulled out of the audio stream so that it's usable > > as input to the VCO freq input.
