By the way, also please try a "zgrep ISAPNP /proc/config.gz". You should 
see a CONFIG_ISAPNP=y. If the /proc/config.gz file does not exist, go 
shoot your distribution's kernel maintainer and try "grep ISA_PNP 
/boot/config-$(uname -r)" instead.

For all I know, your pnp1 is PnP-BIOS, with pnp0 being PNPACPI or 
something...
