I know it's a different issue - not present in the latest Mandriva, for
example.

For the record:

* when I filed the bug report, Skype did work as 'aoss skype', though
with a lot of error messages regarding gain control;

* now it segfaults if invoked as 'aoss skype', but just works as
simply 'skype &', and no error messages regarding gain control.
