I don't know if this is your issue or not, but I'm trying to use the same headset on both my desktop, and my laptop. (the same unit, not just the same model) I find that the volume on the laptop is substantially lower than on the desktop. So its either the gain inside the mic pre-amp on the respective sound cards, or the level of the bias voltage needed on condenser mics. (I haven't checked my bias voltage yet.) |
