This is a frequently discussed subject on this list. The problem appears to be that the driver or card doesn't handle the sound or video file's audio rate (probably 44100 kHz) well. If you can't fix it in alsa, fix it in the app by specifying an audio rate of say 48000 kHz. For example: mplayer vcd://2 -af resample=48000 alsaplayer -F 48000 Never fails. |
