Hello,
I bought a soundcard from Raspiaudio, the MIC ULTRA+, https://raspiaudio.com/produit/ultra , which seems to be a great addition to my Raspberry Pi zero (I wish to install Darkice+Icecast to broadcast sounds from my garden).
I installed the soundcard successfully following the right method. I can also successfully record with the built in microphones and playback the recordings.
However when I plug in an external microphone (working mic) to the card I can't record and have the following outputs:
$ alsactl --file preset_external_jack_microphone_input2 restore 1
No state is present for card seeed2micvoicec
alsa-lib main.c:1014:(snd_use_case_mgr_open) error: failed to import hw:1 use case configuration -2
Found hardware: “simple-card” “” “” “” “”
Hardware is initialized using a generic method
No state is present for card seeed2micvoicec

The preset file mentioned in the above command is at: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/RASPIAUDIO/WM8960-Audio-HAT/master/preset_external_jack_microphone_input2
I ran the script alsa-info.sh http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-info.sh from this web page https://github.com/opensrc/alsa and here are the results: https://alsa-project.org/db/?f=d4e2da29155ef98d38f805c335224a774440d33d
Could you help me, I don't know a lot about using audio.
Thank you.
PS: I also asked for help on the soundcard manufacturer forum: https://forum.raspiaudio.com/t/ultra-installation-get-it-working-with-external-mic/532/7
