The menu item AlphaCocoa>Update AlphaTcl>Developer Checkout does not appear to be working. After a dialog mentioning that AlphaCocoa willl require a relaunch after checkout, a window appears entitled svn containing the lines:

1 One moment, please ...
2

and then nothing happens. In the status bar there is the message 'Checking out trunk ...' although that will disappear on a cursor click (not so the svn window, which just sits there). (Greg Dunn reported this in Ticket 16 but, as that was a ticket about something else, it seemed sensible to give this a ticket in its own right so that it is not lost.)

AlphaCocoa>Update AlphaTcl>User Update elicits the same response.

For the record, in the sub-panel related to the AlphaTcl Repository, the Browse AlphaTcl menu item works, nothing happens if you request AlphaTcl Repository Info, and a request for AlphaTcl Repository Help results in a status bar message of 'Sorry, no "AlphaTcl Repository Help" files were found

Thanks for that! As long as someone else was able to reproduce it, making it a new ticket sounds appropriate.

The explanation is that AlphaCocoa did not poll the Tcl events and thus failed to process the callbacks installed with the fileevent command. Because of this all the console mechanims were broken: in particular, this is the same reason why the processing of TeX files hanged.
This is fixed now both in the core and AlphaTcl. The core must be rebuilt.
The Update AlphaTcl submenu has been entirely revised.

All changes committed to svn (rev. 1016).
