I'm using AlphaCocoa 9.0a10 on a 2014 MacBook Pro in MacOS 10.10.5

When I do a search in AlphaX, the found text seems to center itself fairly nicely, although it sometimes almost completely falls off the right side of the window. AlphaCocoa seems to give up completely on showing the text when it falls of the right side of the window. Additionally, where I could scroll the window horizontally in AlphaX with Control-Right, I can't find a keyboard shortcut to do that in AlphaCocoa.

This leaves me hitting the right arrow to make the window jump to the cursor, but that removes the selection, making it harder to find the found text in a sea of characters. Additionally, after I had done a search backwards (which takes a very long time), I did the usual right arrow and AlphaCocoa locked up for a solid three minutes. It does not usually take this long to expose the cursor.

The various issues reported here have been fixed, namely:

    • the commands to scroll up/down/left/right have been reenabled. They were broken because they are now implemented via a new core command scroll but the AlphaTcl had not been updated.
    • the corresponding bindings are now obtained with Ctrl-Opt (⌃⌥) and the appropriate arrow key (because the bindings with just Ctrl are hijacked by the system).
    • the horribly slow backwards searches have been fixed.
