Hi Michael,
I spoke too fast. On second thought, I remembered that the printing operation operates on a *copy* of the text view. I might be able to set another font and size on this copy. So maybe this is after all feasible. I'll look into this after the forthcoming release.

The Printer Settings from AlphaX: 
Global Prefs: Printing:Printer Font 
and 
Global Prefs: Printing:Printer Font Size
do not seem to be  implemented in Alpha.

I like to print at 12 point, but that is too small to read on my monitor. Being able to enlarge the font on the monitor but keep the printer font size at 12 is a major convenience.
