Thanks for reporting this. It is a bug indeed. The text view of the other panes was not sending the ChangeSelection notification.
This is fixed now.
Changes committed to the repository ([rev. 1485](https://sourceforge.net/p/alphacocoa/code/1485/)). The core must be rebuilt.

Show the column position of the cursor that is being used, also when the file
is split. (At present, it seems to show the number only for the upper view in  a horizontally split file - if I am correct. If this a mistake, please disregard it.)
