This is difficult as the Cocoa text view changes the cursor on every mouse-moved event. The same issue can also be observed with the Terminal application when you select the color schemes called Homebrew or Pro for instance.

On a black background the insertion cursor that moves with the mouse is almost invisible: it should
have a white(r) border in addition to the black double-T-shape.
