Yes, but with an older Allegro version (4.0) I had no problem even under=20 WinXP. So I just wondered about the problem of 4.2.1. > Use DJGPP to build only in DOS, Win9x or Windows ME. >For XP, Win2003 and Vista, definitely do not use DJGPP. Switch to MinGW > or to VC++ instead. I want to make a DJGPP program, sound support would o= nly=20 help a little bit. =20 >First warm welcome to Allegro.=20 >I do know you as a > great contributor to GRX by providing SWORD's most > waited update. Great work! Thanks ;-) Last time I read or used this mailing list were "back in=20 2002(?)"... > Allegro programs hardly get > success under XP in my experiences because they do it > most often. But I often use it, becau= se I=20 have no access of internet under DOS (bad PCI-ISDN card) and so I have of= ten=20 to work in Windows. > I myself now create two ports of my programs. I am working on a program (also GUI :-), which should be compatible with=20 Windows and Linux. Old developer programmed it for all three operating=20 systems. But I never tried it. My real interest is only in DOS (because=20 "nobody" is interested in DOS anymore) and I am so busy with study etc. Bye Flo -- Florian Xaver |
