I did, but I had to change the Depends ... you've put a Depends: xlibs-dev on some packates, but it works also with xlib6g-dev (X 3.3.x), so I've added (on my own sources) a Depends: xlibs-dev | xlib6g-dev in order to compile them. I've noticed that it does not install /etc/allegro.cfg, and it also does not read it, as I can't run any program in console mode having the driver on autodetect on allegro.cfg . I can't also install allegro-demo as it needs allegro-demo-data (which is not built by the tar.gz). An Allegro question: now all my programs open fullscreen. I change the video mode with: if (set_gfx_mode(GFX_SAFE, 320, 200, 0, 0) != 0) { set_gfx_mode(GFX_TEXT, 0, 0, 0, 0); (bla...) How can I set Non-fullscreen videomode? Can I change color depth? (I imagine it's impossible, but my spectrum emulator can run up to 190 FPS on 8 bpp, but drops to 80 fps on 16bpp, as I use internally 8 bpp). People does not run usually the desktop at 8 bpp, so changing videomode depth would be interesting (quite a lot!). > > CU and thanks a lot! > > No problem. With any non-fullscreen mode you get what you are given, as the depth has already been decided for the other apps running. Is ALT-ENTER a standard key in Linux? btw I run the desktop at 8 bits all the time (for speed) and 4 bits even (for lack of vid mem) |
