thanks to everybody,
finally i found the reason for the "virtual memory exhausted" error:
i didn't load the cwsdpmi with the -p switch and without that,
the other error i got was "out of memory" from the NASM, when i wanted
assemble the m68kem.asm from dos. doing this under windows with the
NASMW got me around this also.
(maybe some other newcomer could profit from this; maybe a note should
placed somewhere in the mame FAQ)
