#5 dat2s doesn't work with fonts

When I rewrote the font system, I didn't have time to sort out dat2s. I am working on this at the moment, but would appreciate some help (current effort is at http://www.lwithers.demon.co.uk/prog/allegro/patches/ but it doesn't seem to work).
