Any new controller with at least two or more analog
outputs for axises will not work with what I believe
is code for the standard Windows joystick input code.
Unless Allegro uses Direct Input, Allegro made games
made for Windows may need to use the hat as the X/Y
axises or at least support that option. Who is in
charge of the joystick routines for the Windows part
of Allegro?

on the todo list for the Windows port.
