Supply a vertical mode(or version) for the menu.
Some sites simply require the menus to be vertical.

If I see right, this new Vertical menu was created with a
"total code duplication". IMHO this is very ugly, hard to
maintain, and error prone.
Please refactor the code, and consider the other open issues
too.
