Alfresco 1.4 ODF Preview

We would like to announce that a Community preview of Open Document Format support for Alfresco is now available. This has improved transformation support for ODF files, such as text, spreadsheet and presentation documents.

Used in conjunction with Alfresco's rules or scripting, it is simple to provide "drop zones" that automatically convert office documents to ODF, via the desktop, ftp or web browser application.

This is a preview build, so also includes some new features that are still being developed and may not be fully functional. An example is My Alfresco - a configurable page of components. If you're into customising Alfresco, take a look how you can use Alfresco Presentation Templates in these components and go crazy.
