There was a checkin on this file today. Please ignore it.
We would like the file and CVS history restored for this file.

Any idea when this file will be restored? If it cannot be
restored, please let me know. Thanks.

    Greetings, David,

I've checked in to this matter today. We do apologize for
the delay in responding to your inquiry. Though most of the
small number of cases involved with similar problems were
recoverable, we do not have a backup on file for your
project for the impacted date. Shortly after discovering
filesystem issues, we had started retaining the nightly
tarballs for recovery purposes; unfortunately the tarball
was not retained for your project prior to being overwritten.

Since the time of this filesystem corruption (which resulted
from a one-time system crash), we have implemented new
protocols for handling these issues, and have developed a
new tool for detecting corrupted files. In the unlikely
event that this type of event should occur in the future, we
will be more suitably prepared to respond. We have also
announced new infrastructure going in to place for the CVS
service, which will further improve the reliability of this

I do regret that we are unable to recover this lost file.
Please let me know if you have further questions or concerns
    regarding this matter.

    Thank you,

    Jacob Moorman
