#32 can't commit files to cvs

I have successfully import my project into cvs and I
can check it out and pull it down to my computer
(WinNT 4.0, using WinCVS). But I cannot "commit" the
changes back in. I have followed the CVS how-to's in
setting my environment variables, and as far as I can
tell they are OK. Below is the error message I get
inside of WinCVS when I try and commit the changes.

cvs [server aborted]: "commit" requires write access
    to the repository

    Thanks in advance

This occurs when ssh is not being used. Please check the guides on http://sfdocs.sourceforge.net for how to
    setup ssh under win32.
