No

I tried to send a zip file to one of your users (sourceforge.net account_ via e-mail, and the e-mail system rejected it. Sending zip files is quite useful for developers, and this should be allowed.

    Greetings,

Our email system merely transmits email; it does no storage, and no filtering (apart from adding a SpamAssassin score that the user may or may not ignore). The issue with .zip attachments must lie with the user's email provider, not with us.

Ok, thank you for the clarification. The bug can be closed in that case (I think its already done)...

    Greetings,

The SF.net mail service actually does block files ending in .zip. I recommend you use a different compression method for sending files. Too many viruses, etc. send them selves via .zip file attachments, so we have disallowed them for the safety of our users.

    Thank you,
