Under 10.4, a lot of the Quickdraw APIs are all depreciated. Which I read as 'they'll probably work, but not necessarily be optimized for Mac-intel.' And looking at the APIs around what I want to do with CoreGraphics, things have been improving/changing steadily. For instance, in a related area, it appears that it's only with QuickTime 7 that you have Quicktime APIs that speak to Quartz instead of speaking to Quickdraw. Silly little growing pains, sigh.
