Seems I spoke too soon. Under AM the case does come up within two of M2's own demo films. As a result I had to regress the change there. Breaking M2 era vidfilms is simply unacceptable for the AM project. The problem of slow centering does show up in the debugger, but the person is moving enough that it isn't as noticeable. Also, as a workaround, as long as you explicitly hold down the _look_center key, then it moves at normal speed. As for A1... well, ancient vidmaster films were broken long ago I believe. AND the option of keyboard only play was removed from the Mac GUI.
