While I understand where you're coming from (if you're running Mac OS 
X, you should be able to use hi-res), and while I certainly don't NEED 
it, low-res can be nice if you want some easy framerate boosting.  And 
if AM allows for more than 30 fps, then this could be nice for the 
people who want more fluidity than sharpness.
Don't beat a low-res dead horse if it isn't working well - I wantz me 
AM! -^= (this is supposed to be a thumbs-up)

I would agree with dropping 256-colors, though.
