Confirmed the same - I compiled WSJTX 2.2.2 on Ubuntu - works fine, AlarmeJT does not. 73's - Glenn (WA6BJQ)

  • Anonymous posted a comment on discussion English

Did this ever get fixed? AlarmeJT works with JTDX, but only partially. I have not been able to use AlarmeJT to change the QSO calling on JTDX (the way it dows on WSJTX). 73's - Glenn (WA6BJQ) - p.s. I really like AlarmeJT

I am running AlarmeJT with WSJT-X 2.2.2 on "Andy's Ham Radio Linux", which is a remix of Ubuntu Linux 18.04.4. I've noticed that the "callsign blocks" that appear in the AlarmeJT window now disappear rather quickly after they've appeared. This definitely did not occur with WSJT-X 2.1.2. Do you need any more information in order to fix the problem? If I can be of further help, testing a fix, etc, please let me know. Thanks, and 73, Andy KB1OIQ

Where is this information saved? Have not seen it in the AlarmeJT/sqlite/log.sqlite file. The desktop log displays the call and all the bands work for the same call. de. nc7u

Be nice to use alarmeJT with new FT4 mode. Doesn't seem to clear calls from previous sequences.

  • F5JMH F5JMH posted a comment on discussion English

The contact information only works with the internal log of AlarmeJT which must be filled in. The indication already contacted does not give an indication of the number of times the station is contacted but only if it has already been contacted on the band and the mode. For the update of the log, it is possible to import qso from another log in the form of an ADIF file from the log window of AlarmeJT. friendships

Indeed, if not it is just enough to install sqlite3 from the package manager. 73

Hello, I cannot find the source code for rebuilding the executable file. Would you please provide a pointer to this code? Thanks, and 73, Andy KB1OIQ Andy's Ham Radio Linux

Sorry for the big delay of my answer, Actually AlarmeJT is made from (Pascal) lazarus. For dependencies, I can provide you with the necessary components that must be installed separately from Lazarus. Once these comosants installed you will be able to have access to the source code of the application. Contact me by email to send them to you.

To follow up on my own question, I didn't find the source code in the downloadable tar.gz file where I thought it should be. The source code is in svn which can be downloaded from the "Code" tab on this website. I did not find any instructions on what to do to rebuild the alarmeJT executable, but I saw mention of Lazarus, so I installed it from the Ubuntu repository. I succeeded in getting Lazarus to open the alarmeJT project. The documentation mentions other "components" that I didn't find in Lazarus:...

I just installed AlarmeJT on ubuntu 18.04. The README.txt instructs you to put libsqlite3.so in '/usr/bin'. I think you'll find it belongs in '/usr/lib'. Ubuntu does not generally access .so files in usr/bin. AlarmeJT would not load sqllite properly until I move libsqlite3.so to /usr/lib .

"Grid Square" info on the QSO window does not populate most of the time. Have to edit log. Also, "Worked B4" will not show all activity, i.e. worked a station three times on 80, 40 and 20 meters but sometimes one of the bandswill not update. Is there a way to update the Log with SQL or another program? Using AlarmJt version 0.8.0-UDP-64r338, Mint 19.x and export log to QRZ.com.

WSJT-X saves the signal strength of the first contact with a station, sends it as the signal report and then uses the same value to save in the WSJT-X log. In AlarmeJT the rst in the QSO window will often change as each new transmission from contacted station is received. The value that gets placed in the log for the QSO is whatever the strength was at the time of the "73" message being received, which is usually not the same as the value sent to the station. If a contact wants a "paper" card, the...

Hi Alain, AlarmeJT 0.6 worked correct for JT65/9 for WSJTX and JTDX and correct for JTDX T10. It was possibility to use for FT8 but with incorrect RSTs. AlarmeJT 0.7, does not work with JTDX, UDP error. Nice works for FT8 but RSTs for FT8, JT65, JT9 is not correct, it is taken from RRR passage. Thanks for your great job. 73, Miroslaw

  • Anonymous posted a comment on discussion English

Is it possible to expand the decoded calls list into multiple lines instead of the single row. With the popularity of FT8 its common for the decode list to be alot longer than the screen allows. I look at eventually running dual monitors here like I do at work. this would allow a larger window for the decode list. Duane de KE8BG

Hello, I used AlarmeJT with success in combination WSJTX. Now I have tried to use it with the latest Linux version of JTDX (18.1.0.63) , too, but run into a problem. I got an UDP server range check error. As a consequence there was no data refresh of callsigns. Only detected callsigns from the first dwell are shown. From the JTDX forum I learned, that WSJTX and JTDX are using different UDP protocols. My question: Is there any possibility to make a change to AlarmeJT, so, that it could accept both...

  • Anonymous posted a comment on discussion English

Problem solved! Today I got the information from the programmer of JTDX , Igor UA3DJY, that the UDP scheme of JTDX will be matched to the one of WSJTX within a few days. That means: no change of AlarmeJT necessary! 73, Manfred DK6SQ

Hi there I noticed the followin: 1. After I log a QSO to the wsjt-x log, the AlarmeJT log isn't updated so the statuses as reflected by it are not correct until I import the ADIF log again. 2. Importing the ADIF log duplicates the QSOS...every import just adds everything. This is in mint 18.3 Am I alone here? What's wrong? Thanks & 73 Isaac

I have found that the errors in the previous post with attached screen print, only occur if executing AlarmeJT in terminal mode. An "execute" of it and it will work correctly. Don't understand difference, but there is one. The addition of packages libwebkitgtk-1.0-0 AND libjavascriptcoregtk-1.0-1 if doing a .iso install has resolved the problems with AlarmeJT running on Mint19v2. If upgrading from Mint18.3 this wouldn't be necessary. Instructions for install should have these 2 packages added as...
