Is there a way to see why the test.html is not working i.e. debug
i have all the components installed and permissions set but it doesn't work
any sugestions would be appreciated
Hmm...are you able to see the image? If not, try to download or save the image ("getthumbnail.php...") and open it with a text-editor. You will see a errormessage if something went wrong (if error reporting is on).
No I can see everything, however none of the functions actually happen. i.e. resize does nothing, i select an area to cut press apply nothing happens.
sorry in both instances the history functions provide back/undo these work going back and forward in the history of actions.
it is as if ImageMagick is not installed
but it returns at the command line
root@access [~]# /usr/bin/convert
Version: ImageMagick 6.2.5 04/05/07 Q16 file:/usr/share/ImageMagick-6.2.5/doc/index.html
Copyright: Copyright (C) 1999-2005 ImageMagick Studio LLC
Usage: convert [options ...] file [ [options ...] file ...] [options ...] file

-adjoin join images into a single multi-image file
-affine matrix affine transform matrix
this is my config:-
p.s. how do you turn error reporting on
Maybe the functions to exec Imagemagick ("system", "exec") are disabled in you PHP config?
You can turn error reporting on by writing "error_reporting( E_ALL );" on top of the php-file. You have to set "display_errors = On" in you php.ini, too.
I am having a similar problem. The editor shows up fine, but nothing happens why you click apply. How do you enable the exec function in php?
You can try to make a new php-file and add something like this:
<?php $output = null;
echo "<pre>" . var_export($output, TRUE) . "</pre>\n";
...and call the file in your browser. If there is no output then you are unable to call the "exec" command. You can enable "exec" in php.ini.
Otherwise maybe imagemagick (not the "imagick"-php-extension!) is not installed or not installed correctly.
I was able to call the exec command and getthumbnail.php image shows: The image “http://www.mysite.com/3rdparty/ajaximageeditor/aie/getthumbnail.php?dat=images/album/Tree.jpg&maxx=320&maxy=320” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors. Also when I click the area where the image should be it opens a new window and it shows the editing tools just like in the demo except there is no image to edit in the top part its blank with those white and gray squares
Maybe you have set the paths wrong. What are the errors saying?
The only error i can find is when i right click on the area where the image should be in test.html and click view image then the getthumbnail.php image shows: The image “http://www.mysite.com/3rdparty/ajaximageeditor/aie/getthumbnail.php?dat=images/album/Tree.jpg&maxx=320&maxy=320” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.
You can try to open http://www.mysite.com/3rdparty/ajaximageeditor/aie/getthumbnail.php?dat=images/album/Tree.jpg&maxx=320&maxy=320 in you browser and click "show source" or to save the file as ".txt" file and open it in a text-editor to see the error-messages
If you want to see it heres the link:
Ah firefox wasnt letting me veiw sourse or save image untill i did save file with the open getthumbnail file it showed: Warning</b>: imagepng() : Unable to open '/home/armyoffa/public_html/3rdparty/ajaximageeditor/temp/ff3f73121358420d86cba8924a8307f1.png' for writing: Permission denied in <b>/home/armyoffa/public_html/3rdparty/ajaximageeditor/aie/getthumbnail.php</b> on line <b>126</b><br />
‰PNG wow i feel stupid lol i could have sworen i chmod'ed the temp folder
I just installed AIE, which looks amazing.
I spent a lot of time making sure my config file had the correct paths, and the temp file, etc., had writeable persmissions.
It all looks good to me now, except:
on the test page, the image itself does not display (tree.jpg).
Actually, to be clear: I changed the test.html page, so that the tree.jpg does display there, huge. But when I click on the link to the editor, the editor shows up very well, with all functionality in place, but the image display doesn't show up… just a very large space with checkbox grey and white.
Any suggestions as to what I need to do to my install to get it to work?
i *really* want to use this program.. it does exactly what I need!
thanks so much!!!!
Please open …./getthumbnail.php?dat=images/album/Tree.jpg&maxx=320&maxy=320 in you browser and click "show source" or save the file as ".txt" file and open it in a text-editor to see the PHP-error-messages
I only get the brokenimage icon there. If I save it, I get the code for the image in binary. And it won't show any source.
However, I must have error reporting off… how do I turn it on (more specifically, in which file do i put it.. getthumbnail.php?)
thanks for the help!
Okay, I put the code at the top of the getthumbnail.php page, and waiting for my sysadmin to change display errors to ON on the php.ini file. I will try that, and let you know if I still can't get it working. Thanks! I suspect it's a path issue in my config.inc.php, but I can't figure it out… everything appears to work okay except for the image not showing….
Ok! I did that, and this is what I get below.
Warning: getimagesize(/httpdocs/web/aie/images/album/Tree.jpg) : failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/vhosts/testing.postcard.com/httpdocs/web/aie/aie/getthumbnail.php on line 54
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /var/www/vhosts/testing.postcard.com/httpdocs/web/aie/aie/getthumbnail.php:54) in /var/www/vhosts/testing.postcard.com/httpdocs/web/aie/aie/getthumbnail.php on line 180
(the second one has to do with my site php overall. the first one is the issue i'm sure. but it looks like maybe it can't get the image size, because there is no image? after these warnings, there is the binary code for the image icon on the page - not the tree, but the broken image icon i think).
Any ideas what I should try?
In config.inc.php your $web_root_dir is set to "/httpdocs/web/aie/"?
Try to set it to "var/www/vhosts/testing.postcard.com/httpdocs/web/aie/"!
thank u! works like a charm.
general question for you - a little beyond my programming scope - can u think of an easy way to get this application to generate an xml file that has the text and image editing changes to the image - as data, instead of the actual image? We are trying to let people do a simple edit of their own photo, and then generate an xml file that can be used for a printer, or other media.
(and do you know any programers who might want to write this 'plugin' for me?)
With version 0.6 of AIE this will be very difficult to implement. But with the new version which I hope to release soon it will be much easier, because it saves the steps for the history back/forward function and the image is rendered only at the end. And the new version has a plugin-system so it will be much easier to write extension for it.
Could you please have a look to following url:
The js componants are running but the i can't modify the image!!!
It seems that the temp-directory is not writeable or does not exist:
>Warning</b>: getimagesize(/home/httpd/vhosts/makass.com/httpdocs/temp/a6b6a043b20254b5c415c135aedc5126.png-1) : failed to open stream: No such file or directory in <b>/home/httpd/vhosts/makass.com/httpdocs/plugins/aie/bildserver.php</b> on line <b>140</b>
Maybe you have to "chmod -R 0777" it?
I use FileZilla tu set folder permissions because i don't have physical access to the server… The temp folder is on 777 but every time a new file is created, the permission to the fil is set back to 644…
What can i do to keep the permission of the containing folder propagating on child files?
