Had a file that contained an '&' (ampersand) in it that would not transcode.  Command screen would just flash momentarily. (under XP Pro)
Changed the '&' to a 'n' and the file went through fine, so it wasn't the "file itself", but apparently the filename.
If anyone can instruct me on how to prevent the CMD screen from disappearing (forget how at the moment and no obvious setting) I will gladly provide any error message it displays.
Otherwise, this is a very useful program that I look forward to putting through its paces!

Thanks for the note on special characters in file names -- I'll do some testing on that.  It likely needs some kind of escape when writing out the CMD script for ffmpeg.exe.  The typical CMD escape character is ^, so hopefully replacing any & in the file name with ^& in the CMD script will fix it.

Yes, escaping the & with ^& seems to work.  This will be in the next release, 0.7.9.  I may have some time this weekend to test and release that.
