    First of all, I must say this is a GREAT tool for vbulletin users!! Thanks!!!

    When I start the chat with the vbulletin integration the list of available channels is the list of forums. This is great for people that want to discuss topic from each forum. But for me, I just need two or three channels with customized names.

    How can I do that?

    I've tried to do it either by
    a) cutting some code from the file /chat/lib/class/CustomAJAXChat.php; or

    b) trying to follow the explanations at http://personel.obec.go.th/News/index.php?q=aHR0cDovL3NvdXJjZWZvcmdlLm5ldC9mb3J1bS9mb3J1bS5waHA%2FdGhyZWFkX2lkPTE5NjQ2MDMmZm9ydW1faWQ9Nzc0MTMy

    Both were unsuccessful.

    Could you please post how to solve this issue?

    Thanks a lot!

    Miguel

      This is not a question for the Open Discussion Forum - you should post it on the Help Forum or open a support tracker item.

      Limiting the channels is definitely possible by editing lib/config.php:
      ---
      // Defines an array of channelIDs (e.g. array(0, 1)) to limit the number of available channels, will be ignored if set to null:
      $config['limitChannelList'] = array(0);
      ---
      This limits the channels to the defaultChannel - you can also set the default channel name:
      ---
      // Default channelName used together with the defaultChannelID if no channel with this ID exists:
      $config['defaultChannelName'] = 'Public';
      // ChannelID used when no channel is given:
      $config['defaultChannelID'] = 0;
      ---

      There is also a tutorial on custom channels in the Wiki:
      http://ajax-chat.wiki.sourceforge.net/Custom+chat+channels
