You can find instructions on this in the README file: ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/aix/freeSoftware/aixtoolbox/README.txt For GNOME you want the "base" group of rpms (containing widely needed libraries and commands), then the "desktop.base" group (prerequisites common to both Gnome and KDE desktops), then the "gnome.base" group. Optionally you may want "gnome.apps" too. Use wget to download these scripts, then run them: ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/aix/freeSoftware/aixtoolbox/ezinstall/ppc/getbase.sh ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/aix/freeSoftware/aixtoolbox/ezinstall/ppc/getdesktop.base.sh ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/aix/freeSoftware/aixtoolbox/ezinstall/ppc/getgnome.base.sh ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/aix/freeSoftware/aixtoolbox/ezinstall/ppc/getgnome.apps.sh Then install all packages from each group (that you haven't already installed). -- David Clissold cl...@au...
