[tbox-l] Compiling PERL modules

Because the PERL for AIX was compiled with the IBM C compiler, I've found 
you really need to have it installed when compiling other modules.  Trying 
to use gcc just doesn't work.  In looking at other mailing lists the 
requirement to compile modules with the same compiler as PERL was compiled 
with seems to not be just an IBM AIX problem, but quite common.
