As someone else mentioned, we did backport that security fix into our 
rsync-2.6.2 package, so it's already there.

Approval to distribute rsync-2.6.8 has been requested and is pending the usual 
review.  And as a few others mentioned, you might check out the UCLA archive 
in the meantime.
