[tbox-l] LTG size

Can someone provide me with the criteria that LVM uses to determine what is the right LTG size for a VG?  Is it based on rpm of a disk, disk controller, etc?
   
  I have seen a number of articles on how to change the LTG size but do not see any documents yet on the criteria of determining the LTG size.
