[tbox-l] Gnome Terminal, text not showing up

I just installed AIX toolbox for Linux ( building it from the FTP via the
wget command )
On a AIX 5.2L RS/6000

I installed:
Base
Desktop Base
GNOME Base
GNOME Apps

I then use "exec /usr/bin/gnome-session" to start the desktop.
The desktop comes up fine and all the menus and apps work fine.
But Gnome Terminal appears to have no fonts or is not able to display the
fonts correctly.
xterm and aixterm ( although for some reason uses really large font size )
works

Why is only Gnome Terminal effected?
How do I correct?
I've tried all the fonts listed in Gnome Terminal setup, was there a RPM or
LPP that maybe not installed?
Since this box was installed as a server, maybe a X11 LPP was left out by
mistake?
