I had the same problem.  You need to install the 'info' package.  You can
download it from the following URL if you don't already have it.

Hi,
I have a AIX4.3.3 box and after installing rpm from CD, and trying "rpm -iv
./gnome.base/*" I get, /sbin/install-info is needed, but this is not on my box??
Should this have been part of the installp image for rpm ??
