That's a "pseudo" RPM that gets created when you install rpm.rte.  I can't recall the name of the command to create it/update it manually, but it might be worth upgrading your rpm.rte to get it to run again. -Brian

When installing gcc 4.2.0 from the web site, I get the following message:

error: failed dependencies:
AIX-rpm >= 6.1.0.0 is needed by gcc-4.2.0-3
I can find neither hide nor hair of anything rpm with that version number.  What gives?
