#160 rpm 3.0.5.34 doesn't detect older installed rpm packages

Hi
We are using rpm for our software packaging on a customer project. We rely on rpm to detect and upgrade the package, but the latest version of rpm (which we need for another reason) doesn't seem to detect the prevoiusly installed package. It will proceed with the Installation and result in 2 (or more) versions being listed in a "rpm -qa"
