I don't think it is fair to expect Aironet DSSS equipment to violate physics. DSSS is specified in the 802.11 spec as being a 22MHz signal. So, any DSSS 802.11 equipment is going to be colocation constrained (3x22MHz channels). What are you trying to achieve? If you are trying to colocate lots of radios then try FHSS equipment. This equipment has much smaller channel sizes and horrible receiver sensitivity. Range is a complex formula which involves Tx Power and receiver sensitivity. Everyone's Link Budjet is different. Calculate your EIRP and subtract all your losses down your path. The net signal you have at your receiver should be greater than your receiver sensitivity. -CJH |
