Jim from Aironet pointed out that there were better values to use.
Previously Signal was a non-normalized value. Now Signal Strength is
normalized from 0-100. Signal Quality though is still not normalized.
Both these values are taken straight from the card.

Subject: [Aironet] change in signal scale
I just started using Ben Reeds 0.98za driver. I was using 0.97b. a "cat
Status" looks like this now...
Signal Strength: 100
Signal Quality: 131
Driver Version: airo.c 0.98za 2000/02/09 08:30:47 (Benjamin Reed)
It did look like this...
Driver Version: airo.c 0.97b 1999/09/09 17:25:56 (Benjamin Reed)
When i changed the driver i did not change anything that would effect the
signal, yet the reported signal level changed. Does anybody know why? What
are the units for "Signal Strength:" and "Signal Quality:" ?
If these are dumb questions or if they are documented somewhere,, just
point me to the right place.
