Currently, PCI cards are the only thing that is probed, ISA cards must be
specified by module parameters (I'm going to look at PNP this weekend), and
PCMCIA is handled by the card manager. I would think that you haven't set
up /etc/pcmcia/config properly. You may want to check the syslog for
pcmcia to see if any errors are poping up.

Subject: [Aironet] Probes for PCI but not for PCMCIA
I'm having a problem getting the PCMCIA 4800 card to work. I installed
the drivers as per the instructions. Both the the airo.o and airo_cs.o
modules load ok. But when i change to the /proc/aironet directory there
is nothing in there. Here is the output of syslog:
airo: probing for PCI adapters
airo: finished probing for PCI adapters
I'm wondering is it just trying to look for a pci card and not looking
for the PCMCIA card ?
The PCMCIA stuff seems to be installed fine. On boot up it sees the
aironet card...and loads the airo modules. But no files in /proc/aironet
Debian 2.2 (frozen)
Kernel - 2.2.14
Greystone PCMCIA/PC Card Dock
4800 PCMCIA Card
Thanks in advance
