I would be very interested (and surprised) if you found that the card
was actually going into powersaving ad-hoc mode. Can you provide me a
bit more information about your measurements? Were you sure that the
card was in fact in ad-hoc powersaving mode by using iwconfig as
iwconfig eth0 mode ad-hoc essid XXX power period 100m
and verifying that the powersaving period was in fact on with iwconfig?
Then, how was the power dropping? Was it dropping to .30W for a
significant fraction of the time, and periodically?
