Also please remember that most card have a maximum lifetime for packet in the Tx queue. If I remember correctly, we mapped it properly to the "retry" option of iwconfig/iwlist (i.e. iwconfig allow you to both change the retry number and the retry lifetime). Then, you also have the watchdog timer of the Linux networking stack that will kick in at some point, so you need to take care of that. And the reason why you don't want this number to go to high is for latency, and because the transport will do it's own retransmissions at some point. Regards, Jean |
