Hello all... I've been trying to get my PC4800 cards to happily
suspend and resume in my desktop machine. Suspend appears to
work fine, but the card LEDs stay active.. don't know if this is
as designed or not. Upon resume, the following is syslog'd:
apmd: Normal Resume after 00:00:09 (-1% unknown) AC power
kernel: airo: Doing AUX bap_reads
kernel: Bad MAC enable reason = 8c, rid = ff11, offset = 11
kernel: Aironet Mac could not be enabled
cardmgr: executing: './network resume eth1'
ifconfig believes the interface is up, and does not report any errors
in its counters, but no network traffic passes.
The card's LED pattern in this state varies with the card version.
slow flashing amber on the original 4800.
if I do a:
everything is happy.
I get occasional "Got weird status 800" messages - not sure if that
is important, things still seem to work fine, though i think that
may be a timing issue with network traffic coming or going while the
radio is initializing...anyone?)
In all cases, I'm using the card in Adhoc mode.
I've tried all these permutations:
PC4800 (original) w/ firmware versions 2.22 & 4.13
PC4800 B w/ firmware versions 3.65 & 4.13
Card services v 3.08, 3.17, 3.23, 3.24
Power Modes: CAM, PSP
Driver: atleast 3 different Benjamin Reed's and the current Cisco 1.0002
Linux kernel: 2.2.10, 2.2.17 and 2.2.18 on ix86
Has anyone run into this? Is there anything else I can try?
