I did a firmware upgrade to my 340 series PCMCIA wireless card from version
3.98 to 4.13 (Windows 98). With the old version 3.98 everything was working
OK, signal Strength/Quality was nice in a relatively huge distance.
After firmware upgrade, I lost Signal Quality which dropped to a total of
3-4% in the nearest distance from base station (3% signal quality on 0.2
meters distance!), and I also lost the range (I think it's decreased by

Any idea what the cause can be and where can I find good-old firmware

Currently, the older firmware isn't easily downloadable via CCO, but we
are working on making sure customers can access it - like they can
older released versions of IOS for example.
In the meantime - the older firmware is accessible to the TAC people,
so you can ask them to make it available for you...
