I can sympathize - but marketting wanted more features and the ability to allow

Multicast linktests are not available on the new AP's - but it does have
a unicast linktest.
The signal strength is also available on the same page you initiate a linktest from.
The ability to connect to another device via it's mac address alone is a possible
future feature... (I am told...)

You can configure the power to be lower than the default, and prevent someone
from changing it back by enabling the "user manager".
Unlike the older AP - the new AP allows you to create different logins for different
users with varying permission levels.
Make an "admin" type user to set the power levels and a "user" type user for the
customers to use. As long as you don't tell them the password - they can't easily
change the power.

Well - I couldn't find the ":numbers" command on the html help pages - BUT it is listed
if you type "help" on the console command line - you will see ":numbers" listed there.
NOTE: older firmware had in inactive command line help facility - the newer released
firmware should have it enabled.
