    Hello all,

    I edit the cp_db_config.php file I enter the correct user name password server, port and db name (the db has been created. I test this using SQL server connections but I keep getting a database error. Does anyone else know what I can check?

      First you have to install the MySQL server and assign a user and password.
      Once the MySQL server is up and running, you may launch the AIOCP installation procedure.

      Check if you have installed the php-mysql connector.

      Check your MySQL installation using the command line and setup a root (or other user) password:

      >mysql
      mysql> UPDATE mysql.user SET Password=OLD_PASSWORD('your_password_here') WHERE User='root';
      mysql> FLUSH PRIVILEGES;

        Hey there,

        I am sorry, I thought:
        1. You could run AIOCP off SQL Server - Can you ?
        2. You could Launch the install.php from a remote machine i.e. the a machine not Running the SQL db, i.e. I have a web server (running AIOCP) and a seperate SQL server - Is this config supported?

        I have assigned a Database, User and Password for AIOCP so the database is ready.

        Thank you for your time and your response.

        Carlos

          You may manually edit the /shared/config/cp_db_config.php to set your MySQL database.
          Set your MySQL server path on:

          define ("K_DATABASE_HOST", "localhost");
