I think that at least in the medium term, we should have a
more elaborate mechanism tailored to the particular situation
that Gustav described.  AIM should remember the list of seeds
that it used to generate the printed quizzes, and should only
accept seeds from that list. (Apart from anything else, that
would pretect against mistyped seeds, which are likely to be
quite common.)  It should also make sure that two different
students do not enter the same seed, and so on.
