I have a problem starting up AIME on Cygwin.

I can configure, and make install.

I will go into bin and ./mudbin &, and get the following messages.

(Copyright notice)

Reading in config file...Done.
Looking for necessary directories...Builder directory missing.  Would you like to create it? (y/n)

At this point it doesn't matter what I type, y or n, because I will get the error

bash: y: command not found

And it will stop mudbin.

Is there anyone that knows what is going on?  I'm coming back to coding in C from a couple years of hiatus and not much background knowledge in the first place, but Linux/Cygwin is totally unfamiliar to me except the crash course I found online.  I know this forums no longer seems active, but I really like the features that AIME seems to offer that I don't see on AIME2 (even though I can get AIME2 running so I guess who wins in the long run?).
