This fork has an interest for the developer "DavidXanatos" because he's using ImDisk in his projects.
For a general use (ramdisks and image file mounting), unless you are using a very old machine, AIM has only advantages. And please don't speak of a speed you cannot perceive.
For me, ImDisk is dead.
AIM Toolkit has a lot of small issues but the next update should fix a good bunch.

Well, actually I was just thinking up you're still using ImDisk because of inc/imdisk files in the sources, but appears I was wrong. Also nothing about performance that bothers me. Thanks for keeping it up!

You're welcome.
Olof did some changes in AIM recently. For instance, imdisk.cpl will no longer be required: the functions that have been used in AIM are moved in aimapi.dll.
The guarantee of a perfect compatibility with all softwares, the possibility to mount entire image files, the features given by aim_cli... Even with updates, ImDisk will never offer that.
Of course there is a lot of work, with for instance this new issue, and the question of privacy that has to be thought again. But I see nothing that get in the way.

There is modern ImDisk (v 3.0) fork serving a purpose for, quote:
It is actually used for example by Sandboxie Plus.
Do you consider using that one instead of "old" ImDisk version?
You are late...
