Ah, that helps. It looks like a problem with --config-check only. Can
you confirm that --init and --check works fine? Here is a temporary fix
for the segfault. The real problem is with get_conf_key(), but I haven't
found a solution yet.

Right. I which case, the --config-check bug should be triggered in aide
0.9 as well.
I don't want to focus on aide 0.9 too much... the important thing is
that the bug is solved in 0.10.

I looks like get_conf_key() works as designed. In your bug report you
state that you have a working aide 0.9. However, this bug also exists in
aide 0.9 unless the --with-confighmackey configure option is used.
The patch I sent you should take care of the problem. Please confirm.
