#56 =/etc$ never matches

It's strange, but regular expression like
=/etc$
or
=/var$

never matches

It's easy to reproduce, just create a 4 line config:
database=file:/tmp/aide.db
database_out=file:/tmp/aide.db.new

=/etc$ R
=/var$ R

then do
aide --config=aide.conf --init
and you will find an empty database :-(

    Equal selection lines are not regular expressions. From the aide.conf man page:

    Lines beginning with "/" are regular selection lines. Lines
    beginning with "=" are equals selection lines.

    Try this:

    /etc$ R
    /var$ R
